Matt Vold - Class of 2010
Matt stands 5'11", weighs 175lbs, bats right and throws right. Primary position is shortstop or 2ndbase. Secondary position is 3rd base. Matt is an outstanding infielder with great range. He has a very strong accurate arm to go along with a quick release when turning a double play. Matt is also a very good hitter. He batted .397 with 32 RBI's, .448 OBP, 8 doubles, 3 triples, and 2 home runs. He is a line drive hitter with decent pop in his bat to go along with quick hands and a short compact swing. When making contact the ball jumps off his bat. Matt finished with a 4-1 record his junior year on the hill striking out 35 hitters in 39.1 innings pitched to go along with a 1.97 ERA. Matt is a two time American Legion All-Star. He has been 1st team All-Conference over the last two seasons. Matt is an outstanding athlete also excelling in football. He is the quarterback for his varsity team. Matt has as a GPA of 3.0.
